Piers Morgan takes swipe at Good Morning Britain co-star Sean Fletcher

Nothing gets past Piers Morgan!

Piers Morgan has taken a swipe at Good Morning Britain co-presenter Sean Fletcher.

Even though Piers, 55, is on his summer break from the show, he couldn’t resist taking to social media to bite back at Sean after he made a cheeky comment on Twitter.

What did Piers say?

In his original tweet, Sean, 46, showed an image of himself on set with Charlotte Hawkins and Alex Beresford.

He then captioned the image by saying: “Really enjoyed working with @CharlotteHawkns and @alexberesfordTV on @gmb this week.

“FYI my red tie is from @piersmorgan’s wardrobe, so it normally fits around a slightly larger neck – that’s why it kept loosening.”

It wasn’t long before Piers took the bait.

“Shame you can’t borrow my much larger ratings too,” he snapped back.

The banter continued

That wasn’t the end of it.

Sean then tweeted back, saying: “21.3% for me and @CharlotteHawkns on Thursday’s @gmb @piersmorgan. Not a bad share with no promo/social media campaign.”

As ever, Piers had the last word, retorting: “And with that hair too!” followed by a wink emoji.

Sean made his return to the show last week (August 13th) after a six-month break from the show.

“Yeah I’ve been a bit busy and there’s been a lockdown. It’s actually quite nice to be at a desk,” he said.

Addressing his longer hair, he added: “I can confirm I am Sean Fletcher but I’m not the Sean Fletcher six months ago.

“I had short hair. My son has been desperate for me to grow my hair.

“As soon as the hairdressers opened, I didn’t go back. People now show me a lot more respect now that I have long hair.”

Where has Piers been?

Piers, meanwhile, has spent the summer in the South of France with his partner, Celia Walden, their daughter and his sons.

But due to the France’s increasing COVID-19 cases and the risk of quarantine, the family jetted back to the UK via Nice airport.

Piers captioned an image of him and his two sons Spencer, 27, and Bertie, 19, wearing face coverings as they prepared to come home.

“Quarantine dodgers,” the caption read.
