Piers Morgan is spending some quality time with his family in Italy to celebrate the new year.
The Good Morning Britain host, 53, shared a sweet snap to Instagram on Tuesday showing himself carrying his seven-year-old daughter Elise on his shoulders.
The pic sees the doting dad and his little girl walking away from the camera in the countryside of Puglia in Italy.
Piers captioned the post: “Real men don’t do papooses.”
This was a cheeky reference to the minor storm he caused last year for dissing dads who carry their babies in sling-like papooses.
Fans loved the image with one person commenting: “Daddy’s girl!”
Another joked: “Bet you’re knackered though!!! A papoose would have helped!!!” while a third added: “Gorgeous photo, go daddy.”
Piers recently revealed he spent New Year’s Eve in bed ill.
Alongside a snap of a packet of paracetamol, Piers said: “Wildest New Year’s Eve for decades… went to bed at 8.59pm with two strong Italian Tachipirinas & had one helluva steamy sleepless night.
“Hope yours was anywhere near as wild. Happy New Year!”
Meanwhile, on Christmas Day, Piers shared a pic of Elise’s present she had received from her older brothers.
Piers – who is also a dad to sons Spencer, 25, Stanley, 21, and Albert, 18, – posed alongside a huge teddy bear while sporting a Santa hat.
He captioned the post: “Merry Christmas from me & Pierre.”
It comes after Piers revealed the sweet gift his sons had got for their little sister.
Naming the enormous soft toy after her favourite football player, Elise was so impressed with the present she pronounced it the best she had ever received.
Piers captioned the post: “Named after her favourite Arsenal player, Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang. She’s declared him her ‘greatest ever gift’. Santa’s got his work cut out.”
Commenting on the Insta image, pleased son Spencer remarked: “Smashed it.”
