In Piers Morgan news, the presenter has stunned fans by sharing a throwback snap of his mum during a heartfelt tribute on her birthday.
The former GMB host, 56, took to Instagram to wish Gabrielle happy returns.
And the glam image amazed the star‘s fans, who praised her for her movie-star looks.

What did Piers Morgan say about his mum?
Piers shared the black and white image with fans and wished her a very happy birthday.
The snap showed Gabrielle with her then-boyfriend – and later husband – Glynne.
Looking every inch the young loved-up couple, Gabrielle looked sensational with shoulder-length hair and her 1960s-style outfit.

Piers captioned the image: “Happy birthday to my fabulous mother.”
He then joked: “If you’re wondering where I get my absurdly glamorous movie star aesthetic genes from, this is Mum on a date with Dad early in their courtship.”
How did fans react to the snap?
It wasn’t long until many of his 1.7million followers responded with awe at the snap.
One follower opined: “She looks like a movie star!”
Wow you and your Mum do look alike.
Another said: “I thought it was Charlotte Rampling for a moment!”
A third wrote: “What a glamorous couple!”
And, Piers’ former GMB colleague Charlotte Hawkins chipped in, too.
“Wow stunning,” she said. “Happy Birthday to your lovely mum.”
Debate then raged as to whether Piers does actually look like his mum.
“Wow you and your Mum do look alike,” one said.
Another wrote: “You actually do look like her, only not as glamorous.”
However, another chortled: “Sorry to say I think you’re the milkman’s.”
What has happened to Gabrielle and Piers this year?
The heartfelt message from Piers comes after a tough year for the Morgan family.
In July 2020, Piers revealed mother and son were reunited after 114 days apart because of the first lockdown.
And how did they celebrate? She cooked him a huge fry up.

He said on Instagram: “Nobody can cook a better fry-up than my mother… first one in 114 days.”
And in February of this year (2021), he revealed that Gabrielle had a bad reaction to her first Covid vaccination.
He said on GMB that she had been in bed with a “fluey reaction”.
