Piers Morgan exposed by BBC rival over ‘altered’ pics

Bit embarrassing for Piers

Piers Morgan has been shown up on social media after BBC rival Dan Walker pointed out how snaps of the presenter at the NTAs had been fiddled with.

Possibly still smarting over Good Morning Britain losing out to This Morning at the awards bash, Piers tweeted out a picture yesterday evening of his colleagues dressed up the nines.

Piers looked every inch the thorn between five roses as he hovered behind the glamorous line up of Charlotte Hawkins, Ranvir Singh, Susanna Reid, Kate Garraway and Laura Tobin on the red carpet.

“Proof that we have the hottest show on TV…” he captioned the group shot.

But earlier today BBC Breakfast front man Dan claimed some of the host’s other colleagues had been cropped from the image Piers shared with his 6.5 million Twitter followers.

“What happened to the rest of the ‘team’?” he asked, adding crying out loud emojis and the hashtagged #Crop to his tweet.

Whether Piers tinkered with the photo or not, it is apparent the bigger picture was not revealed.

Did he possibly forget Sean Fletcher and Alex Beresford are also his broadcast buddies?

Or does he not regard them as ‘hot’ enough to share a frame with him and his female co-workers?

Apparently Piers’ decision falls under the latter category, with the 53-year-old firing back at Dan: “They didn’t meet the required aesthetic level for crop selection.”

Fans were not completely convinced, with their ribbing making it a week to forget for former newspaper editor Piers.

“His fragile masculinity wouldn’t allow him to include other men in the photo,” joked one fan on social media.

Another remarked: “It looks like @piersmorgan is photobombing and none of the team are that bothered that he’s even there.”

– Good Morning Britain airs every weekday on ITV from 6am
