Holly Willoughby and Phillip Schofield share FIRST look at new Dancing On Ice

It's going to be bigger and better than ever!

The revamped series of Dancing On Ice doesn’t start until next year but already production has begun behind the scenes.

And thanks to co-hosts Holly Willoughby and Phillip Schofield, we’ve had our first glimpse at what’s going on!

The pair have shared pictures to Instagram showing them hard at work on the ITV reboot alongside co-stars Torvill and Dean and Ashley Banjo.

One snap posted by Phil showed the colleagues standing against a green screen and was captioned: “Most of the gang – sooooo good to be talking ice again.”

Looking good, guys!

Missing from the group shot was fellow judge Jason Gardiner, who joins ice skating duo Christopher Dean and Jayne Torvill, and Diversity frontman Ashley Banjo on the panel.

Fans were inevitably excited to see work on the new series starting in full swing and left a slew of comments on Phil’s Instagram page.

One impressed fan said: “Great to see that the originals are back, with some real young talent! Should make it a bit more funnier!! Ashley is so hot as well, so he better stay some distance from the ice!”

Another said: “So cannot wait for this show to return. Absolutely love it.”

A third wrote: “Yes absolutely fantastic so looking forward to seeing you all.”

And a fourth said: “Now that is what you call a dream team!! Can’t wait for the new series.”

Others, however, joked it looked like a wedding photo.

We can see that!

More fans, meanwhile, quipped that Ashley hadn’t got the memo about smart dress. Oops!

The new-look Dancing On Ice returns to ITV in 2018, four years after being taken off air.

It originally ran from 2006 until 2014 with Holly and Phil hosting the first six series together, and Phil being joined by Christine Lampard for the latter three series.

According to reports, the revamped show will be bigger and better than ever, having moved from its previous home of Elstree Studios to Bovingdon Airfield in Hertfordshire.

The Sun claims two HUGE ice rinks will be built there, with a source saying: “There will be one training rink and one performance rink and it’ll look glitzier than ever.

“Bovingdon is a great space and its filming history helps give the show some extra sparkle.”

The celebrity line-up for the new Dancing On Ice has been drip fed over the last couple of weeks and includes a slew of household names.

Coronation Street fans are in for a treat with TWO of the soap’s favourites signed up to take part: Brooke Vincent (Sophie Webster) and Antony Cotton (Sean Tully).
