Peter Andre has shared a beautiful photo of his eldest children Junior and Princess on their first day of secondary school.
The Mysterious Girl singer, 45, joked the pair had threatened to disown him at the school gates if he got too emotional over the milestone moment!
He uploaded a snap to Instagram on Thursday morning showing Junior, 13, and Princess, 11, proudly posing in their new school uniforms.
The caption read: “And here they go. Very first day at High School. They said if I get emotional they’re gonna tell everyone I’m not their dad. I’m like ‘I can’t help the pollen count’. Good luck kids :).”
A further video, filmed by Peter on the way to school while wife Emily drove, showed Junior and Princess looking excited in the back seat while poor Pete looked all emotional!
He told fans: “Right, here we go. First day of high school. I can’t believe it!
“Oh my gosh, first day guys. Junior starts his drama scholarship. Both of them are going to secondary school. I’m not getting emotional. Yeah I am. Bye!”
Peter, who shares Junior and Princess with ex-wife Katie Price, previously spoke of his pride over their achievements.
They both secured distinction certificates in their London Academy of Music and Dramatic Arts (LAMBA) exams over the summer.
Proud dad Pete wrote in a previous New magazine column: “A distinction is the highest mark they could receive and I’m so flippin’ proud of them. It makes all the hours we spent rehearsing all the more worth it. Well done, kids!”
He revealed in the column last December that Junior had landed a drama scholarship.
“I applied for him last November and I was so proud when they sent me a letter telling me he’d been accepted. The school specialises in drama and sport and he starts there next year.”
Peter treated Junior and Princess to a holiday in Florida just before term started, as they joined him in Orlando where he was shooting his 2019 calendar, working for the tourist board, and fulfilling his duties as a Universal Studios Orlando ambassador.
His wife Emily and their children, Amelia, four, and Theo, one, didn’t join them in Florida.
Emily, a hospital doctor, explained in her OK! Magazine column it was because she was working and she also wanted to quality spend time with Amelia before the little girl starts school.
Meanwhile, Peter appeared to rule out having a fifth child during an interview on ITV’s Lorraine earlier this week.
“You do realise I think, after changing many nappies, you do start to go, ‘I’m not sure anymore’,” he said. “I’m 45, I reckon I’ve still got a couple of years left in me but I’m not sure.”
