Peter Andre slams parents who disagree with his parenting methods

The star opened up about his views

Dad-of-four Peter Andre has slammed parents who claim you can’t be a friend to your children.

Now, we know Pete is extremely close with his children and is no stranger to hitting back at trolls who criticise his parenting skills.

The 44-year-old has revealed he believes being a friend to his children is just as important as being a dad.

Writing in his New! magazine column, he said: “Some people don’t think it’s right to be a friend to your children, only a parent.

“Being both a parent and a friend makes your children feel happy and also allows them to be able to talk to you about anything.

“But at the same time, they know the boundaries of what they’re allowed and not allowed to do.”

Pete is a devoted dad to Junior, 11, Princess, nine, Amelia, three and Theodore, four months.

Meanwhile, the Aussie heartthrob’s latest Instagram video of his children playing in a gym seemed to cause a heated discussion between fans.

Some were not keen on the children, Junior, Princess and Amelia, being in the gym with some saying: “Don’t really think the gym is the place for an 11 year old.”

Another added: “They should be running around outside not in a gym.”

Meanwhile others defended the star.

One wrote: “Such a lovely family you have Pete.”

“There’s nothing wrong in teaching your kids anything,” another said.

In other Andre news, Pete spoke to ITV’s Lorraine about how he doesn’t plan to have any more children.

With four children under his wing and adorable four-month-old Theo it looks like the sleepless nights are finally taking its toll!

Lorraine, 57, asked: “Would you have any more children?”

Pete replied: “ABSOLUTELY not.”

He then jokingly added: “Unless they invent a 24-hour coffee system.”
