Peter Andre makes touching comment about his ex-wife Katie Price

He sends his support following her bankruptcy

TV’s Katie Price is going through a tough time at the moment, after being declared bankrupt last month.

However, the mum-of-five, 41, has received a message of support from her ex-husband Peter Andre.

Katie and Peter, 46 – who have two children together – got divorced in 2009.

But the Mysterious Girl singer has shown that there’s no hard feelings by telling fans that he wishes Katie “nothing but the best”.

Peter, who met Katie while they were both competing on I’m A Celebrity… Get Me Out Of Here! in 2004, was doing a Q&A with his fans on Instagram when someone brought up the subject of his ex-wife.

The follower asked him: “Do you still speak with your kids’ mum?”

I will always be respectful when it comes to this subject. She’s the mother of my children.

Peter responded: “Yes. She is the mother of my children so I will always wish her nothing but the best.”

However, the singer – who’s now married to Emily MacDonagh, 30 – clearly wasn’t comfortable talking about Katie.

He told his fans: “Look, I know I said ask me anything and I really wanna answer all your questions.

“But on this subject, please just say that I am a very happy person and I would never wish anybody to ever have a hard time.

“I will always be respectful when it comes to this subject. She’s the mother of my children.”

Though Peter didn’t say an awful lot on the subject, a recent story in new! magazine claimed that Peter sympathises with the former glamour model.

A source told the publication: “Pete had a feeling this was going to happen, but he is far from happy about it. He feels sorry for Katie.”

In a trailer for her new TV show My Crazy Life, the mum-of-five revealed how much money she’s been getting through.

She was seen telling an adviser: “Can I learn to live within my means? When I do a full shop, I spend £800-1,000 a week.”
