Peter Andre admits he ‘can’t help but love’ Curtis after he throws his support behind the Love Island star

Look away now, Amy!

Mysterious Girl singer Peter Andre has admitted that he “can’t help but love” Curtis Pritchard.

Pete, an unlikely fan of Love Island, admitted in an Instagram post that he had thrown his support behind the “honest” star.

After Curtis split from his “half-girlfriend” Amy in the most brutally honest way possible, Pete chipped in.

Posting a picture of Curtis crying on the show, Pete said: “This guy has taken honesty to a new level [crying with laughter emoji].”

He added: “Am I the only one who can’t help but love this guy.”

Sparing a thought for poor Amy, the singer added: “Obviously feel sorry for Amy.”

He also called the broken-hearted blonde a “nice girl”.

Viewers watched on as Curtis – the brother of Strictly Come Dancing star AJ Pritchard – brutally told Amy that he no longer wanted to work on their relationship.

Taking him aside for a chat, Amy asked: “Are you upset we’re no longer together?”

“Honestly? I feel like a weight has been lifted off my shoulders,” Curtis replied.

Digging deeper, Amy commented: “That’s interesting, because last night the way I was going to end the conversation was to give you a second chance, and I was going to work bloody hard on our relationship. Which is what I thought you wanted, but it obviously wasn’t.”

She added: “I thought what we had was too good to throw away without even trying, and if it didn’t work then at least we tried. I thought that’s what you wanted as well.”

Love Island fans seemed torn when it came to their feelings for the couple.

Taking to Twitter, one called Curtis a “sly, creepy, wet blanket,” while another called him “immature” and said Amy “deserved better”.

Others said Amy was “clingy” and commented that Curtis only “did what he needed to do”.
