Paul Hollywood is reportedly “furious” with his girlfriend’s mother for getting involved in the drama between her and his ex-wife.
The star’s girlfriend Summer Monteys-Fullam apparently had a row with Alex Hollywood earlier this month which led to police being called.
In the aftermath, Summer’s mum Sabina reportedly shared a video on Instagram of her reading out a lengthy written statement defending her daughter.
Sabina, 48, apparently said in the clip: “I have a lot of sympathy for Alex and her family and the divorce being played out in public and I am especially sympathetic and empathetic as we too have had our lives played out and put in the spotlight, which I would not wish on anyone.
“So the last thing I’d want to do is make a situation worse for either family.
“However our voice has never been heard. We have maintained a silence which may have been misconstrued as weakness, but was simply, we felt, the best approach.
“It is over a year after the breakup, they were separated for a long time and we are sad that she is still so very angry about the situation and we really hope she can find it within herself to move on to a peace and happiness in her future as quickly as possible.”
And now sources tell The Sun that Paul – who turns 53 this week – is “livid” about 23-year-old Summer’s family getting involved.
The source claimed: “This whole episode has been a mess from start to finish, and Paul is pretty livid with how it’s been played out.
“Both Paul and Alex want to move on but feel Summer’s family hasn’t helped matters. Sabina [painted] Alex in an even worse light, and Paul thinks this was unnecessary and simply stirring up trouble even more.
“Sabina’s video obviously got a lot of attention. Paul was angry and said she shouldn’t have done it.”

The video came after Alex, who was Paul’s wife of 19 years, confirmed she’d called the police over the incident, where onlookers claimed she lashed out at Summer in a swear-y rant.
It was reported that Alex and Summer had a public confrontation in a Marks and Spencer in Kent.
The reports said that Alex accused Summer of hurting her and Paul’s son with the affair, after which Summer and her friends pounded on the windows of Alex’s car as she left the shop’s parking lot.
Alex later denied the incident had occurred, posting a statement to her Twitter account.
“Anyone who knows me will realise this report of an incident in Canterbury is not how I behave and those are not my words,” she said.
“Uncorroborated untruths and ‘anonymous’ letters only serve to fuel the unpleasant stories generated about the very distressing breakdown of my marriage.

“I will continue to stand tall, continue to be me, keep my integrity and remember ‘this too shall pass.'”
Meanwhile, her spokesman told the tabloid: “There was an unpleasant incident at the supermarket on Tuesday afternoon which frightened Alex and as a result she called the police.
“They dealt with the matter accordingly.”
