Patsy Palmer shares amazing EastEnders throwback with co-star Sid Owen

The pair played husband and wife on the screen

Patsy Palmer has shared an incredible throwback snap of her and former EastEnders co-star Sid Owen.

The duo first found fame as volatile couple Ricky Butcher and Bianca Jackson in the BBC soap and definitely entertained viewers during that time.

Despite their rocky relationship on the show, Patsy and Sid seem to share a close relationship off-screen.

Patsy’s photo shows the pair looking super young as they shared a hug and grinned for the camera.

Patsy captioned the shot: “Oh to be young again.. TB Eastenders.. 90’s crazy times but would love that body again!!!!”

Fans rushed to comment on the pic with one gushing: “Love this! ❤️ brings back memories.”

Another said: “Omg so young. I loved Ricky & Bianca!”

A third commented: “I don’t think you have aged at all. Still look the same.”

Patsy first appeared as Bianca in 1993, making her final appearance in 2014.

While Sid played his role as Ricky from 1988 until 2012.

The on-screen couple’s rocky marriage captivated millions of fans and drew one of the biggest soap audiences ever.

It also coined the phrase “Rickaaay” which Bianca would often scream across the Square.

Since leaving the soap Bianca has moved across pond to the States and is now living in Malibu with hubby Richard Merkell and her four children – Charley, 25, Fenton, 17, Emilia, 16, and Bertie, six.

Back in July the actress appeared on ITV’s Lorraine from her mansion in sunny Malibu.

The star showed off her incredible beach-front home while talking to presenter Ross King, who jetted off to California to catch up with Patsy, about why she made the decision to move away from London.

The pair first walked around outside of her luxurious home showing off the beautiful LA scenary before moving inside to talk about what the mum-of-four had been up to.

Patsy and Ross sat in leather seats with a glass dining table in the background as the ex soap star spoke about her decision to move overseas.

She told Ross: “I just felt where else would I go?

“I always wanted to go somewhere, and I lost my dad, I lost my stepdad, and I did have a light-bulb moment then that ‘this is it, this really is it’ so make your mind up, do what you want.

“The only place I can go where the kids can sort of have a nice beachy life is here because I’m an actress, what else do I do?”

Patsy then revealed she has actually given up her acting career for the time being and now performs as a DJ.

Speaking about being out of the spotlight and away from the media she said: “It was a little bit strange getting used to the idea you’re not ‘on show’ everywhere you walk about, you don’t have to be ready to speak to someone about EastEnders.

“You can go out and just completely be yourself, it’s kind of weird, it is something you probably need therapy for, though I haven’t gone down that route since I’ve been here but everyone does.”

And she admitted she doesn’t miss being on the BBC soap.

She said: “I honestly really don’t miss it, I love all my friends there and I was always very, very grateful to be there.”

We have to say, we do miss Bianca and Ricky on our screens!
