Top Chef host Padma Lakshmi may spend her life tasting food for a living.
But this week she showed it certainly doesn’t make her pile on the pounds.
For the 43-year-old took to Instagram to show off her stunning figure.
Posing in nothing more than her underwear, Lakshmi declared moms are sexy too in the sexy lingerie snap.
In the photo, the TV host poses in her bathroom wearing high-waisted panties and a black lacy bra.
Anticipating backlash for posting the saucy snap, she tells fans not to hate her.
She captioned the sexy snap: ‘Don’t hate because I’m in lingerie. Moms do that sometimes.’
However her worries were unfounded as hundreds of fans left positive comments on the post.
The cookbook author is a single mom to six-year-old daughter Krishna.
The pair are very close and often pose up for mommy and me pictures on social media.
However Lakshmi says her daughter does not want to follow in her modelling footsteps, as she wants to be a pop star.
Padma told People: ‘She’s very clear on what she wants to do.
‘Right now she wants to be a pop star and she has music lessons three out of seven days of the week.
‘I would like her to do what I did, which was finish college before she starts [in show business].
‘I think having an education is very important for a whole host of reasons. I want her to be happy and healthy and do what naturally interests her.
‘I modelled to pay off my college loans. I don’t think she will have that problem.’
Krishna’s dad is venture capitalist Adam Dell.
