Sharing a number of snaps on Instagram from their idyllic get away, the Strictly champ said his wife deserved the break as the last time they went away for a week together was Christmas 2016.

In the pictures, the pair can be seen heading out for dinner with Roman and playing with him in the pool.

One image captured of the three of them together on sun loungers was a particular favourite for Ore.

“Having this one framed when we get home #familyportrait#myteam #Majorca,” he wrote. He had covered Roman’s face in the image when uploaded to Instagram as the couple want to ensure he can’t be recognised.

His fans agreed that the image was definitely one to treasure.

Before they went away, first time mum Portia turned to her Instagram followers for advice on how to make a holiday in the sun with a baby easier.

She wrote: “Sun, sea and SLEEP! @oreodubaofficial and I very excitingly have booked a last minute holiday, as some of you may have seen me waffling on about in one of my latest insta stories. And because you lot are all totally amazing #parenthood I asked the question. When going away on a hot holiday with little ones what are your holiday essentials?!”

The tips she received included taking a small splash paddling pool for the beach/swimming pool area – “keeps them entertained/cool and great if the pool is a bit cold,” she explained – and a shade and fan that attaches to the pram.

Other essentials were aftersun, insect bite cream, insect repellent stickers which attach to cot and pram and multiple hats.

She recommended pre-ordering nappies from Boots at the airport “so you don’t take up room in your luggage” and not “over packing baby clothes as they’re pretty much in nappies.”

She also said cold water sterilising tablets and a brush are worth packing.

She wrote: “I’m sure there are LOADS more, but these were the most popular suggestions from parents that I received.”
