Olly Murs says he’s ready to settle down and is looking for Miss Right

The pop star admitted he was ready to find love and was hoping for marriage and kids

Form an orderly queue, ladies – Olly Murs wants to find love and settle down.

Fed up of being single, the Dear Darling singer says he is looking for “the right person” and is ready to get married.

And apparently he is after a “proper British girl”.

The music and TV star was talking to Sara Cox, who was standing in for Chris Evans on the Radio 2 Breakfast Show, when she started quizzing him about his love life.

He had often been linked to his Xtra Factor co-host Caroline Flack, although both insisted they were never more than just good friends.

Olly has been single for more than 18 months, so Sara wanted to know if he was looking for love – and if his plans would eventually include marriage and kids.

“Of course!” he instantly replied.

“Listen, I would love to, I would love everything you have just said, I would love it,” said the 33-year-old.

“But I don’t know, I’ve got to find the right person. It’s not that easy, you know.”

Olly is promoting a summer tour and his new single, the duet Unpredictable which he recorded with fellow X Factor star Louisa Johnson.

The pair have just been to the US to film the video, but Sara advised Olly to steer clear of any American beauties and find himself a “proper British girl.”

“Exactly, exactly!” he laughed.

Any new relationship would be Olly’s first since splitting with property manager Francesca Thomas back in 2015. The pair had dated for three years and Olly admitted he was heartbroken when they split.

And even 18 months later he was still struggling. Whilst on stage at London’s O2 Arena back in April he told the crowd “It’s really tough going through a break up you know, we’ve all been through break ups right?

“It’s not nice to have a broken heart, mine’s still broken.”

He went on to add: “But this next song was written about me trying to find the perfect woman, my Mrs Murs, that’s what I’m trying to find.”
