Now you can get paid to eat fudge as confectionery company advertises taste tester role

You can be the new Chief Chewing Officer!

If you’ve got a sweet tooth and you’re in the market for a new job then you’re in luck.

A new role for a taste tester has just been advertised at a confectionary company.

Yorkshire-based fudge subscription service STIRRD is looking for its first CCO – a Chief Chewing Officer.

Your professional fudge-tasting duties will include collaborating with the development team on new seasonal treats, including salted maple and mince pie fudge.

And you’ll be first in line to sample the new flavours as they’ll come off the production line and straight over to you so you can cast your expert tastebuds over the treats.

They’ll also want you to star in the brand’s “mouth-watering video campaign”.

One fudge fan seemed keen to be picked for the role and said: “Holds arm up as high as possible with the other arm and jumps up and down a bit looking hopeful.”

In terms of benefits, you’ll receive a day of annual leave on National Fudge Day.

They also promise “a pretty sweet salary”.

The ad states the successful candidate should be able to “express their love of STIRRD’s proper, handmade sweet treats in a multisensory manner and feel confident to chomp comfortably on camera”.

The part-time role requires you to work for up to 15 hours a week.

We’d recommend a weekly trip to the dentist and some extra time in the gym in your free time.
