Norfolk cottage next to Prince William and Kate Middleton is now up for rent

Everybody needs good neighbours

The sweet cottage next to Prince William and Kate Middleton’s country mansion has gone up for rent for just £700 a month.

The two-bed property, in Norfolk, is up for grabs but it comes with a warning for any prospective tenants.

The cottage is a short distance from Amner Hall.

Although the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge’s official residence is Kensington Palace, the couple has spent significant time at Anmer.

The 10-bedroom mansion was a gift to them from the Queen, and they stayed their full-time after Prince George was born.

The end-of-terrace cottage has just been refurbished and boasts a large garden and off-street parking.

But the advert comes with several warnings and strict criteria.

The unfurnished cottage has steep stairs so it might not be suitable for those with mobility issues.

It also has a strict no cats policy, but dogs could be considered on a ‘house by house basis’.

Anyone interested in becoming Williams and Kate’s neighbours have to complete an online application form, while people who live and work in the local area will be given priority.

New to the village will also be considered.

Kate recently attended Wimbledon with Meghan Markle, the Duchess of Sussex.

They both looked elegant and stylish as they turned out in the Royal Box alongside Kate’s sister Pippa.

Kate, wearing a bespoke green D&G midi dress, and Meghan – in a white pleated skirt and blouse – arrived to the venue in south-west London separately, with Kate thought to have lunched with former champions beforehand.
