Maya Cavanagh is causing shockwaves in Emmerdale, embarking on a passionate affair with David Metcalfe.
But actress Louisa Clein could bring some order to the chaotic village, in the shape of Judge Rinder.
Louisa, 39, who you may recognise from Judge John Deed and Holby City, is big pals with the real-life lawyer, whose lesser-used first name is Robert.
And she thinks he’d make a brilliant soap addition.
“I’m trying my best to tempt him on to a soap. He’d be great on Emmerdale,” she told the Sunday Mirror.
“His knowledge of the TV industry is extensive so he’s been helping me through it with fashion tips. He’s always been a rock in my life.”
Louisa and Robert, who starred in Strictly Come Dancing in 2016, became friends through Benedict Cumberbatch.
He suggested his old drama school pal shadow Robert in preparation of her role on Judge John Deed.
Robert introduced Louisa to her husband Jeremy and was best man at their 2011 wedding.
If anyone can sort out the wayward morals of the villagers, it’s Rinder! Maybe he could sort out Maya and David’s divorces from Dr Cavanagh and Tracey!
In this week’s episodes, Maya and David step up their blossoming romance when the pair spend the night together.

Frank Clayton sees Maya leaving in the morning and breaks the news to his daughter – David’s estranged wife Tracy.
Tracy has some unexpected news of her own though which leaves Frank stunned.
Meanwhile David has an awkward encounter when he arrives for a check up and realises he’s due to see Liam.

The appointment is very tense and before long Dr Cavanagh is acting in manner not very fitting for a professional!
