New mum Amy Childs hits back at vile trolls

The TOWIE star, who has just become a mum, has received a shocking amount of abuse

Pregnancy and becoming a mum should be a happy time – but it seems that some people can’t help but try to spoil that.

Amy Childs, who has just given birth to a “perfect” baby girl, has revealed that she’s suffered online abuse.

“I’ve been trolled throughout my pregnancy,” she wrote in her New! column, just days before giving birth on 30 April. “I’m not even a mum yet, so God knows what that will be like.

“Everyone needs to stop judging!”

The father of Amy’s child, Bradley Wright, has spent time in prison for handling stolen goods, and was caught sexting another woman behind Amy’s back last year – and people won’t let her forget it.

“Well done on the baby news!!!” wrote one. “Just shame the other half is an idiot u deserve better [sic].”

“Is it me who’s wrong when I see all the ‘congratulations’ for Amy Childs and I just think.. that poor baby?” asked another.

Amy and builder Bradley met in an Essex pub in 2014, but she kicked him out in 2015 after finding out about the sexting.

She spoke about her devastation at the time. “At first I was angry, but now I am emotionally drained,” she said. “I haven’t been eating and my belly has been aching from all the anxiety.”

Bradley had met the other woman, Marie Asemota, through dating website Plenty of Fish, much to Amy’s distress.

“He needs to realise what he’s got, so I’m punishing him,” she said in 2015.

“He needs to learn that his behaviour is disgusting!”

The couple reconciled but split again when he was sentenced to 16 months in prison. Bradley served five months of the sentence before being released early due to good behaviour.

Amy says she never stopped loving Bradley. “We’ve wanted a baby for so long,” she said. “We’re happier than we’ve ever been.

“We were both so shocked, so emotional and so happy at the same time.”
