Nadia Sawalha choked up as she paid tribute to her husband Mark Adderley for being 15 years sober.
The Loose Women star took to Instagram to wish Mark a “happy sober birthday” in an emotional video.
She said: “So, this is a happy sober birthday to Mark. You know how I feel about you being sober but I wanted to say it really publicly because I think it’s a very public thing, not drinking.

“It’s the one drug in the world that you have to apologise for for not doing. I know how hard it is and how hard it’s been for you to stay 15 years sober for us, because you love us, me and the girls.
“I’m just so proud of you,” as she started tearing up.
I’m sorry I’m in the Himalayas and not celebrating with you.
“I wanted to say that publicly and I’m sorry I’m in the Himalayas and not celebrating with you. I couldn’t be more proud of you.
“Happy birthday. You are the dog’s [bleep].”
She captioned the post: “TO MY DARLING MARK!! @mark_adderley.
“(Sorry this is late – and out of sync – its been so difficult trying to post things from India – but better late than never).”
Last week, the star called her marriage to Mark a “beautiful disaster” as they celebrated their 18th anniversary.
Nadia said their marriage has been a “rollercoaster” and even though they “fight like cat and dog” she loves him with “all my heart”.
She wrote: “Happy anniversary @mark_adderley 18 years ago today we had our first kiss and egg and fag sandwich!
“What a night, what a rollercoaster since! I know we drive each other nuts and fight like cat and dog but I love you with all my heart.
“You are the smartest, kindest, funniest man I could have hoped for. You think I saved your life, but you too saved mine, god knows where I was heading!”
She added: “What a ‘beautiful disaster’ the last 18 years have been. Here’s to the rest of the ride gorgeous!”
Mark also shared a tribute to Nadia on Instagram alongside a snap of them on holiday.
He wrote: “Wowzers! 18yrs ago today I read my call sheet – and my instructions were ‘Pick Up Presenter’ at 18.00 hours… who’d have thunk it heh @nadiasawalhaandfamily?!?
“That I took those words quite so literally… a wonderful time… with someone who is a wonderful wife. It’s been up and down like a boat in a storm… but given we both love the sea, the wind in our hair and aren’t afraid of diving to new hidden depths of feelings for each other…
