Mums Make Porn viewers slam Christian mother after she drops out

She felt she was holding the other mums back

One of the mothers on Channel 4’s new documentary series Mums Make Porn has been slammed for quitting the show halfway through because it “troubled” her.

The three-part series involves five mums, all horrified to varying degrees by the hardcore porn available online, banding together to create an adult film of their own.

During the second episode, which aired last night (March 27), they had to brainstorm ideas for their movie.

And 43-year-old Jane, a devout Christian born in Malaysia and living in London, was left shaken after watching some existing adult content and discussing raunchy plots.

Having never actually seen any pornography before going on Mums Make Porn, Jane found it all too much.

She headed to church seeking spiritual guidance and came to the decision to leave the programme.

It’s perhaps understandable that someone with no experience of porn whatsoever might be shocked at what’s available. One mum last week was even left vomiting over what she saw.

But fans of the show didn’t hold back on social media, with viewers on Twitter blasting Jane and wondering what she had been expecting.

One wrote: “Thank [bleep] Jane’s dropped out, she’d finish their porn with a long, unedited sequence of everyone involved repenting their sins.”

Another asked: “Why has this Jane come on this show? The big virgin.”

A third commented: “Jane’s out. Thank [bleep]. She was boring as hell.”

Some else echoed this ‘meh’ view, tweeting: “Jane’s left the project. Oh well, never mind.”

Someone else seemed annoyed Jane had even bothered at all.

And another viewer had a reading suggestion for her, writing: “If Jane is struggling with her religion, she ought to read ‘Autobiography of a Flea’, which involves some members of the priesthood.”

Jane’s issue with the show started after Anita put the idea of including a group sex scenario to the other mums.

She said: “We keep saying two people, I would really like at least a couple more.”

But Jane, visibly uncomfortable, said: “We don’t want to be so overwhelmed that we’ve lost sense of our core values and beliefs as to why we are here.”

The devout Christian then sought advice from her pastor and revealed: “I’m struggling, I need some sort of spiritual insight for me to carry on, I feel very troubled.

“I feel like I set out to do something and I’m left in limbo now.”

Jane went on to say she cannot continue, as she worried she was “holding the other mums back”.

Viewers might be happy she’s gone, but the other mums were gutted at her departure.

– The series will continue next Wednesday (April 3) at 10pm on Channel 4
