Just a week or so after Kim Kardashian was held hostage by masked raiders in Paris, model Miranda Kerr has been the location for a violent attack which left two people being rushed to hospital.
But don’t worry folks, the gorge cat-walker didn’t get hurt in the fray as luckily for her she wasn’t home. However, her security guard is one of the two men believed to be injured.
According to emerging reports, a struggle ensued when the security man stumbled across an intruder. During a fierce confrontation Miranda’s guy got stabbed in the eye while the intruder was shot several times.
Eyewitnesses say that the intruder continued to fight even though he had been wounded.
“The man, after he was shot, still held the knife and was going after the security man so my guy kicked the knife out of the perpetrator’s hands,” a neighbour going by the name of ‘Jerry’, told Los Angeles TV station CBS2.
“It’s kind of a crazy thing to happen out here in Malibu,” another neighbour, Craig Moore, told KTLA.
“I guess it happens everywhere but we just don’t ever have it happen in our neighbourhood.”
Sergeant James Braden, who was on the scene, said in a statement: “When the deputies arrived at the residence they found an armed security guard was involved in a physical altercation with an intruder.
“During the physical altercation, the intruder stabbed the armed security guard and the armed security guard shot the intruder. There were no occupants in the house at the time of this incident.”
