Michelle Keegan debuts new hair as she finishes filming Our Girl

She's got rid of her short do

Brunette beauty Michelle Keegan has changed up her hairstyle and showed off her dramatic new look on Instagram.

The Our Girl actress still sports her stunning brunette locks but has added a luxury set of extensions transforming her shoulder-length locks into mermaid hair.

The 30-year-old, who recently returned from filming in South Africa, treated herself to a makeover on her latest Revlon shoot.

Michelle captioned the shot: “Long hair x.”

The photo shows Michelle unveiling her long locks in a mirror selfie while her stylist adds the finishing touches to her do.

Back in June the star shocked fans as she chopped off her hair for a refreshing chic style.

The former Coronation Street star captioned the snap: “Sunday mood,” as she showed off her best pout.

Last year the actress ditched her statement chocolate brown shade for a striking platinum blonde.

She turned into a blonde as part of her role as Bobby Moore’s wife in the ITV series Tina and Bobby – which aired last year.

But her dramatic look did divide fans.

Debuting her blonde do on Instagram Michelle wrote: “No filter just sunlight… #otherside.”

“Please go back dark after your role!! ❤️,” a third wrote.

Michelle has recently landed back in the UK after spending three months in South Africa filming for the upcoming series of BBC’s Our Girl.

The actress, who plays Georgie Lane in the drama series, wrapped up filming last month.

The new series will see army medic Georgie taking part in three separate missions.

The first will take her and the team to Nepal following a devastating earthquake.

Speaking about the role Michelle said: “I’m so happy to be shooting the new series of Our Girl out in Nepal and so very excited to bring more stories of Georgie Lane to life.

“It’s an amazing experience to be working on such important stories with such an incredible group of people.”

But being away from home for the majority of this year she’s struggled being away from hubby Mark Wright.

The pair, who tied the knot in 2015, recently reunited with each other on a relaxing holiday to Majorca.

Michelle was whisked away by her pals to enjoy a break in the sun for her 30th birthday and her hubby joined shortly after.

After a day out with her pals Michelle met up with Mark as they tanned their beach bods and enjoyed some quality couple time.

Meanwhile the couple could face living apart for even longer because Mark landed his “dream job” on US show Extra meaning he will be moving overseas to the States.

But the reality star, 30, has insisted his big move will not effect their relationship.

Speaking to MailOnline about his new role Mark revealed that his wife is extremely proud of him.

He said: “Of course she’s always proud of everything I do, and I’m always proud of everything she does

“She probably feels the same way I do, like ‘Wow what an opportunity’. She’s touched by it.”

Discussing how they will continue to make their marriage work despite the distance between them, he said: “I think any husband and wife, if one’s working away then one will visit the other that’s a given.”
