Mel B breaks Twitter silence after Stephen Belafonte abuse claims

The singer has made multiple disturbing allegations against her soon-to-be ex husband

Mel B has finally broken her Twitter silence following the series of abuse claims she has made against her estranged husband Stephen Belafonte.

Mel filed for divorce last month, after a decade’s marriage.

She filed papers accusing Stephen of being “violent and abusive” and forcing her to take part in threesomes.

After a month-long silence on social media, Mel has now spoken.

But she hasn’t referenced what we are all talking about. Instead, she showed her support for British superstar Adele by retweeting a tweet from Billboard.

Billboard wrote: “Adele’s 21 has broken the record for longest-charting album by a woman on the #Billboard200.”

While Mel is yet to comment on her shocking allegations, Belafonte was quick to defend himself and slam the accusations.

Mel claimed that during their marriage her husband was abusive towards her as soon as they tied the knot in 2007.

The former X Factor judge claimed Belafonte “punched her with a closed fist in the face and split her lip”.

In the 56-page legal papers filed at Los Angeles Superior Court the former Spice Girl accused her ex of threatening to release sex tapes to “ruin” her career.

As more allegations are being revealed, Belafonte’s ex, Nicole Contreras, has also claimed he abused her too during their five year on/off relationship.

The high-end real estate professional claimed she feared he would kill her in a “choke attack” and branded him “abusive, controlling and manipulative”.

Speaking to The Sun she admitted: “When Stephen moved on from me to Mel, I selfishly didn’t want to warn her about him.”

Following all these explosive claims Mel and Belafonte are set to have a court hearing later this month.

He seems ready for it, having apparently said: “It’s accusation after accusation. But we’ll have our day in court.”
