Royal fans thrilled to discover when they’ll next be able to see baby Archie

He's joining his parents on their African tour

| Updated:

After the disappointing news that Meghan Markle and her son Archie would only be joining Prince Harry for half of their upcoming royal tour of Africa, royal fans today got some good news.

They found out when they would finally be able to catch a glimpse of the youngest – and arguably most adorable – member of the royal family.

The trip, which starts at the end of September, will be the new family’s first official overseas tour as a threesome.

Harry, Meghan and Archie will kick off their tour in Cape Town on Monday 23 September.

A source told Hello!: “The couple hope to include Archie at some point in the programme, but it’s difficult to schedule. He’s five months old. But they hope to.”

Sources also revealed that the couple’s royal tour schedule had been designed to allow them to be with Archie at bath time and bedtime.

Fans were quick to comment on a post uploaded to the Sussex Royal Instagram account outlining details of the tour.

One said: “What an exciting tour this will be for your family. Can’t wait to see you and beautiful Master Archie.”

Archie has so far only been seen a handful of times and has made just two public appearances.

His first came when he was two days old at his official photocall at Windsor Castle.

Then he was seen alongside Kate Middleton and her children during a family day out at the polo in July.

At almost five months old, Archie will be younger than heir to the throne Prince George when he embarked on his first royal tour.

The tot was eight months old when he joined the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge in Australia and New Zealand.

However, Archie is no stranger to air travel.

His parents famously hit the headlines when they took him to Ibiza and France on a series of private jets over the summer.
