Princess Beatrice announced today that she’s engaged to Edoardo Mapelli Mozzi.
The daughter of the Duke and Duchess of York and granddaughter of the Queen shared the news with the world via social media on Thursday, sharing two official photos of herself and her new fiancé.
Shortly after, her mother Sarah Ferguson released more beautiful photos of the pair on Twitter.

One sees the couple gazing lovingly into each other’s eyes as Beatrice shows off her stunning ring.
Another shows Beatrice and Edoardo sitting and looking directly at the camera.
But one had a striking resemblance to The Duke and Duchess of Sussex‘s official engagement pictures.
The black and white image shows Beatrice 31, cuddling into Edoardo as he wrapped his arms around her.
Meghan and Harry, who got engaged in 2017 and married in May 2018, released a similar photo at the time of their engagement.
The picture showed the couple embracing each other in the same way as they both beamed while Meghan caressed Harry’s cheek, showing off her sparkler.
The Duchess of York captioned the pictures: “Eugenie took the colour photographs as my girls are so close.
“The black and white photographs were taken by Misan Harriman at Royal Lodge, Windsor Great Park.”
Earlier today, Beatrice and Edoardo said in a statement: “We are extremely happy to be able to share the news of our recent engagement.
“We are both so excited to be embarking on this life adventure together and can’t wait to be married.
“We share so many similar interests and values and we know this will stand us in great stead for the years ahead, full of love and happiness.”
Beatrice’s parents the Duke and Duchess of York said: “We are thrilled that Beatrice and Edoardo have got engaged, having watched their relationship develop with pride.
“We are the lucky parents of a wonderful daughter who has found her love and companion in a completely devoted friend and loyal young man. We send them every good wish for a wonderful family future.”

Edoardo’s parents added: “We are truly delighted about Edoardo’s and Beatrice’s engagement. The family have known Beatrice for most of her life.
“Edo and Beatrice are made for each other, and their happiness and love for each other is there for all to see.
“They share an incredibly strong and united bond, their marriage will only strengthen what is already a wonderful relationship.”
