The moment saw Kate curtsy as Meghan hugged her.

Laughing off the awkward exchange, Meghan insisted on hugging Kate and wrapped her arms around her.

Fans soon took to Twitter to share their thoughts on the moment, with many praising Meghan for being “natural” and “warm”.

One person said: “I love how the host tried to curtesy but Meghan was like nah, I want a hug.”

Another wrote: “This moment when Princess Meghan wanted a hug instead of a curtsy is why she will always be my fav.”

A third tweeted: “I love how Meghan goes in for the hug but the other lady has to curtsy first and they sort of collide! It’s so cute!”
