Kensington Palace are reportedly spending hours monitoring negative comments made against Duchess Catherine and Duchess Meghan.
A team at the royal household have been scrolling through social media – including on old material – to check out and investigate racist and sexist comments made against the Duchess of Cambridge and the Duchess of Sussex.

A source told Hello! magazine: “A lot of hours are being spent reviewing old material and moderating comments under posts. The Palace has always monitored comments but it’s a hugely time consuming thing.
“They can block certain words, but some of it is quite serious. Over the course of last year, with hundreds of thousands of comments, there were two or three that were violent threats.
“It’s something you have to manage because there’s no other way to control it… It follows a Kate vs Meghan narrative and some of the worst stuff is between Kate fans and Meghan fans. Arguments about who looks more appropriate, for example, that turn into personal attacks on other users.”
The backlash against the royals has led the publication to launch their #HelloToKindness campaign, which champions online positivity.
HELLO’s Head of Digital Sophie Vokes-Dudgeon added to the outlet that “issues of low self esteem are rife among young people these days and we feel, as a responsible publication with high values, we need to lead the way”.
It comes after it was rumoured that sister-in-laws Meghan and Kate were locked in a feud.
It was claimed that the Suits actress had fallen out with Prince William’s wife, Kate, 37, which was causing bad blood between the brothers.
However, the rumours were roundly dismissed over the festive period, as Kate and Meghan appeared at the traditional Christmas Day church service together, looking friendly as they walked in together.

Earlier this month, it was reported that Meghan was left “upset” over the rumours.
A source told The Sun: “Did this upset her? Of course it did.
“Since she shut down her public Instagram, she’d had a fake account to follow her friends. There was some really vile stuff written by social media trolls and obviously she also saw the headlines about her.
“It really got to her and, in the end, she had to shut down that account just before Christmas, too, to protect her mental health. She felt very isolated and alone.”
