Since she got together with Prince Harry, Meghan Markle has kept quiet about their relationship.
But this week, she has opened up for the first time about meeting her special Prince.
Speaking to Vanity Fair magazine, out Friday, Meghan reveals that she met Harry met through friends and they were secretly dating for six months before it was made public.
“We’re a couple. We’re in love,” she tells the magazine.
“I’m sure there will be a time when we will have to come forward and present ourselves and have stories to tell, but I hope what people will understand is that this is our time.
“This is for us. It’s part of what makes it so special, that it’s just ours.
“But we’re happy. Personally, I love a great love story. I think it’s really simple.
“We’re two people who are really happy and in love.”
Elsewhere in the interview Meghan explains that it isn’t easy dating a royal, but says pals and Harry make things easier.
“It has its challenges, and it comes in waves – some days it can feel more challenging than others.
“And right out of the gate it was surprising the way things changed.
“But I still have this support system all around me and, of course, my boyfriend’s support.”
Now, of course you’d think dating a prince would fill a girl with a lot of confidence perhaps even arrogance, but she says she’s still the same girl she was before.
“Nothing about me changed,” she said.
“I’m still the same person that I am and I’ve never defined myself by my relationship.”
It was in November 2016, when Buckingham Palace first confirmed that Meghan and Harry were dating.
They were then spotted hand in hand in February 2017 during a date in London and there are currently rumours that an announcement of engagement is on its way.
