Kelvin can't see the future after all

Former TOWIE star Mark Wright has denied the reports that he’s set to stay in the US for good.

Mark’s contract with entertainment show Extra is up later this year, and the presenter is yet to make any announcements about what comes next.

Rumours have been floating around claiming that Mark will be staying in LA after his stint on Extra ends – spurred on by claims made by the presenter’s friend, former Emmerdale star, Kelvin Fletcher.

Kelvin opened up about his friend’s success in the US in an interview with the Daily Star, with some taking his comments as hints that Mark is planning to stay in LA.

He spent time with Mark, and his wife Michelle Keegan, on a recent trip to the States, and said he was proud to see how well his friend was doing.

“He is amazingly well connected,” Kelvin said. “Within the first week I was out having a beer with Niall from One Direction.

“It’s great to see him doing so well,” he continued. “He’s been so well-received.

“He’s a really talented, very charismatic guy but he’s not changed at all and he’s very grateful for what he’s got.”

A spokesperson for Mark has denied the rumours however, claiming Mark has no definite plans to remain in LA.

“Mark’s EXTRA contract is for a year as originally announced,” the spokesperson said. “No plans have been made post this September.

“No one can predict the future, least of all Kelvin Fletcher,” they continued. “Unless he has mystic powers I’m not aware of.”

Mark’s decision to stay in LA or return home to the UK may depend on his wife Michelle – his American commitments led to the couple spending eight months apart last year, while Michelle completed filming on the BBC’s Our Girl.

He has previously said that he would leave LA if Michelle wanted him to.

Speaking on Good Morning Britain he said “If it ever wasn’t working, I would fly home, it’s an 11 hour flight. My marriage comes first.

“Yeah if Michelle didn’t like living here and she preferred life back home, I would go back.”
