Ryan Thomas’ girlfriend has questioned whether Roxanne Pallett’s public apologies to him were completely genuine, but has said either way, it’s time for Roxanne to be left alone.
In a new interview with OK! Magazine, former TOWIE star Lucy Mecklenburgh, 27, said the time has come to “draw a line” under the controversy surrounding Roxanne.
Former Emmerdale star Roxanne, 35, made headlines when she accused Ryan, 34, of punching her during what appeared to be a play fight.
Ryan, who apologised and said there was no malice, was given a formal warning by Big Brother and was seen crying and looking visibly distressed in the diary room.
After quitting the show, Roxanne admitted she’d “got it wrong” and issued two public apologies to Ryan and his loved ones – on Channel 5’s Jeremy Vine and in an interview with Emma Willis on CBB – for making the accusation.
Speaking to OK! Magazine, Lucy said: “I have my reservations about whether her apologies were genuine but she’s said what she needed to say and it can’t have been easy for her to face the music like that.”
Lucy continued: “As long as she now gets the help she needs then I think it’s time we all draw a line under it. The most important thing for me is that she never does this to anyone else.
“‘To me, her interviews with Emma and Jeremy seemed like a performance and something she knew she needed to do.
“As long as she goes away and works on her problems I think she should be left alone and I think Ryan would agree.”
Lucy also said that watching how former Coronation Street star Ryan handled the situation in the house had made her “fall in love all over again.”

Lucy hasn’t seen her boyfriend since the show started on August 16.
But she’ll see him soon enough! The current series of Celebrity Big Brother draws to a close on Monday evening with Ryan competing against Dan Osborne, Nick Leeson, Gabby Allen, Psychic Sally and Kirstie Alley for the win.
Lucy has been urging her fans to vote for Ryan to win, sharing a beautiful throwback holiday snap to Instagram over the weekend with the caption: “Counting down the minutes until I get reunited with my love.”
Ryan’s famous family have also been drumming up support for him, with twin brothers Adam and Scott sharing messages to their own social media accounts.
Former Emmerdale star Adam, 30, said on Monday morning: “Today is the day … finally get the big bro home!! Cannot wait to see him tonight been far too long!! Win or lose tonight he’s done amazing and am so proud of him.
“What he has been through over the last couple of days has been intense but just knowing how much you all supported him through out will mean so much to Ryan so thank you !! Ryan we are coming to get you !!”
Love Island’s Scott, meanwhile, told fans: “It’s been tough watching the big bro go through what’s he’s been through in the house but it’s so good to see him smiling and laughing again!! He’s been nothing but himself and although he’s not perfect he has the biggest heart a man can have!!
“He’s the definition of being ‘good to the bones’ and if his biggest problem is laughing too much then I can think of far worse things!! Please pick up the phone and get him the win he deserves! Can’t thank you all enough for your support let’s not stop now.”
Celebrity Big Brother concludes tonight on Channel 5.
