It’s her birthday… it’s her birthday… and Lucy Mecklenburgh is going to eat cake like it’s her birthday!
The former TOWIE star turned fitness entrepreneur celebrated her 27th birthday yesterday, and let fans in on all of the treats she’s enjoyed with a picture on Instagram.
The night before her big bash with friends at London nightspot Tramp, Lucy posted: “I have a fun bank holiday weekend planned with my friends and family…Not going to lie, I can’t wait for champers, pasta and bday cake!”

It certainly sounds as if Lucy deserves a treat or two!
Not only is her boyfriend of a year, Ryan Thomas, absent from her celebrations as he takes part in this year’s Celebrity Big Brother, but Lucy has also been putting in the hours at the gym.
She added: “I’ve been working out a lot this month and eating extremely healthily, which I do enjoy, but I also enjoy chocolate cake!
“Life is about balance. Never feel guilty for an indulgence you deserve and have worked hard for! Let the birthday celebrations begin!”
Starting her weekend with a bang, Lucy was then joined by three friends for her night out, and joked the next morning that they had encouraged her to do a few too many birthday tequilas. Oops!
Wearing a floral dress and high stilettos, Lucy posed in front of a neon sign that reads: ‘Normal gets you nowhere’, writing: “Thank you for an amazing birthday night, but I hate you for my birthday hangover. Why did you all make me have tequila?”
The birthday celebrations don’t stop there either, as Lucy also told fans she was off to see Britney Spears tonight. The pop singer is currently touring and playing at London’s O2 Arena.
If her party schedule doesn’t sound fun, and exhausting, enough, Lucy and Ryan recently discussed their plans for their future wedding day, describing it as ‘one big party’.
Ryan, who is yet to pop the question to Lucy but admitted to OK! magazine that he said the ‘L’ word to her almost immediately, said: “We’ll have a massive wedding. It will be huge and one big party!”

The couple were rumoured to have split after a huge row in June, but denied claims and appeared to have been happier than ever as he entered the Big Brother house earlier this month.
It certainly sounds as if Lucy isn’t moping around in her PJs while he’s away, although she probably should be – it sounds like she needs all the rest she can get!
