Lucy Mecklenburgh and Ryan Thomas have been hit with speculation their year-long relationship could be over.
However, former Coronation Street star Ryan appeared to rubbish the claims by sharing a photo to Instagram Stories last night saying he couldn’t wait for his “next adventure” with Lucy.
The alleged ‘shock split’ claim came just days after they shared snaps on Instagram looking loved-up as they celebrated Ryan’s 34th birthday.
But according to The Sun, they had a huge row this week and “called it quits on the spot”.
A source told the paper: “Ryan and Lucy have been a really lovely couple and things had been great between them.
“It’s a real shock. They had a massive row this week and called it quits on the spot, which will come as a massive surprise to everyone who knows them because they’ve seemed so loved-up.”
Former TOWIE star turned fitness expert Lucy and soap actor Ryan met a year ago when appearing on Bear Grylls: The Island.

While they rarely spoke out about their relationship, they had seemed happy when they shared pictures of themselves together on Instagram.
Most recently, they both shared an image of them sharing a kiss at the Parklife Festival.
Lucy captioned the snap “Happy birthday my (heart emoji)” and Ryan uploaded it with just a heart emoji.
On her Twitter account this morning, Lucy, 26, has shared some cryptic messages.
In one, she wrote, “ever had one of those nights?” with a cartoon of Charlie Brown saying, “Dear mind, please stop thinking so much at night. I need to sleep.”
In another, she shared a quote from Nelson Mandela writing: “There is no passion to be found playing small – in settling for a life that is less than the one you are capable of living.”
Meanwhile, Ryan suggested there was no break-up as he updated his Instagram Stories late last night to say he was looking forward to “the next adventure” with “these two lunatics”, tagging a picture of Lucy and his former Corrie co-star Brooke Vincent on a road trip.

Ryan was previously in a relationship with his Corrie co-star Tina O’Brien, with whom he has a daughter, Scarlett, nine.
Lucy previously had relationships with her TOWIE co-star Mario Falcone and Olympic gymnast Louis Smith.
