Lucy Mecklenburgh FINALLY confirms relationship with Corrie star

The couple attended Wimbledon together

It was a love game for Lucy Mecklenburgh and Ryan Thomas yesterday, as the celebrity couple made an appearance at the Wimbledon tennis championships.

The pair were seen arriving at SW19 in appropriate white outfits – Lucy in a plunging lace summer dress and Ryan in a smart blazer.

Looking like the cat that got the cream, the former Corrie actor, 33, grinned as he sipped on a refreshing glass of Pimms.

And as they watched the action together, former TOWIE star Lucy, 25, posted a super-sweet picture of her holding hands with her new beau, before posting it to Instagram. Ahhhh.

There have been rumours of a romance between the two TV stars since April, when they both signed up to appear in the second series of Celebrity Island With Bear Grylls.

As they trained for the Channel 4 survival show in Panama, a source told the Daily Star Sunday: “There’s definitely a mutual attraction which is getting everyone excited.

“The crew are going to do everything they can to try to make it happen between them.”

Shortly after that, the pair set tongues wagging when they appeared to share social-media pictures from the same Panama hotel.

And then last month, they were papped together at an airport, having enjoyed a secret break on the Greek island of Mykonos.

Well, the cat is well and truly out of the bag now, with Lucy and Ryan seemingly thrilled to show off their love to the world.

And we couldn’t be more happy for Lucy. The fitness fanatic hasn’t had much luck when it comes to relationships, having had just brief flings with former TOWIE co-star Mario Falcone and Olympic gymnast Louis Smith.

Before signing up for Celebrity Island With Bear Grylls – which airs in autumn – she told The Sun: “I am single and if Prince Charming comes along, I wouldn’t say no.”

Well, maybe at last he has. Ryan – who played Jason Grimshaw in Corrie before leaving the show in 2016 to become a Hollywood actor – certainly cut a dashing figure in his Wimbledon get-up.

This one might just be a game, set and match made in heaven.
