Dressed in on-trend dungarees she captioned the photo with: “New Hair do by the very talented and gorgeous @catherineboden.

“I cannot thankyou enough…. you truly are amazing…. I love love love my ‘Hollywood ColourBlend’ that you’ve done on me… and I love my long bob!!! Your salon is beautiful… and so are you.

“Thankyou so much #newhair. (sic)”

Lucy-Jo’s fans flocked to compliment her on her chic new hair, with one person writing: “Love the hair and the dungarees!”

The actress went on to post a second salon shot that shows the major transformation.

In the left her tresses are brassy and longer, while on the right her hair hasn’t just gone under the chop, but it also appears toned down and much richer in colour variety.

Simply captioning with: “Before and After @catherineboden” and a string of heart emojis, and the pic has got just as many compliments as the first snap.

One wrote: “She does such a good blend” and another said: “It’s a lovely length and the colour is really natural.”

The stylist, Catherine Boden, is a Cheshire based hairstylist and colourist.

She also shared a snap of Lucy-Jo on her Instagram with the caption: “Did the beautiful actress @lucyjo_hudson hair today.”

On Catherine’s website she claims to get the Hollywood Blend by working “in harmony with the hair’s unique tones, the skin’s complexion and each client’s personal style to create beautifully natural-looking, fuller, glossier hair”.

But the look doesn’t come cheap, as the “full works” option starts at a whopping £250.
