Love Island winners Nathan Massey and Cara de la Hoyde split up in late April, but have shockingly revealed that they are expecting a baby.

While Cara shared the news with the nation on the front of OK! magazine, Nathan hasn’t said a word – until now.

The 24-year-old TOWIE newbie has broken his silence.

“Yes it’s true..I’m going to be a Dad. Its an emotional time for me and I’m overwhelmed by all the support from both my family and friends”.

He didn’t seem to want to mention Cara though…

The 26-year-old brunette beauty told the magazine about how she found out, and that she was at an appointment to remove cancerous cells from her cervix.

She revealed: “They have to check if you’re pregnant first, but I said to the doctor: ‘I don’t think there’s any need for that!’

“They did it anyway and a nurse came back and said: ‘You’re pregnant!’

“I was with my mum and we just looked at each other in complete shock. I went in for one thing and came out expecting a baby.”

She also added that the couple won’t be getting back together for the sake of their unborn child.

This comes after they did a joint couple interview, before the split, talking about wanting to start a family together.

“We know that’s where out relationship is going eventually. But at the moment we want to buy a house and be comfortable rather than rushing into anything.”

She then added: “I want loads of kids. I’ve always been very maternal.”

We hope these two stay close for the sake of the baby.
