Love Island: Jonny admits who he’d like to see win the show

Jonny left the villa last night in a shock departure

Love Island’s Jonny Mitchell has revealed he would love to see Camilla and Jamie to win the show.

Last night viewers were left completely stunned after a shock twist left one islander packing their bags.

Jonny and Tyla were voted the least favourite islanders by the public and were forced to choose between them who would be leaving the villa.

Jonny selflessly gave up his place on the show so Tyla could continue her journey.

Now he has admitted he would love to see the show’s fave Camilla and model Jamie go on and win despite previously being coupled up with Camilla during his time in the villa.

A few weeks ago Camilla and Jonny rekindled their romance following a row over feminism and decided to couple up leaving viewers ecstatic.

But when new girl Tyla made her entrance Jonny’s head was quickly turned away from blonde beauty Camilla and he cracked on with the brunette model.

Fans were outraged and Jonny soon became the “snake” of the show.

Now outside the villa Jonny has shown there are no hard feelings between him and Camilla and has admitted he would be happy to see her and current partner Jamie take the Love Island crown.

He said: “I’d like to see Cam and Jamie win!”

Speaking about what couples he believes are the “real deal” he admitted: “I think definitely Cam and Jamie!”

The Essex lad has also revealed he “will be waiting” for Tyla on the outside.

In emotional scenes last night Jonny and devastated Tyla shared a passionate smooch and he told her he would wait for her for when she leaves the villa.

Talking about his comments away from the villa Jonny has admitted: “It is Love Island, she might have someone thrown her way who she might fall head-over-heels for, in which case it’s the premise of the show, we all signed up for it and I will take it.

“But if that doesn’t happen, of course I will be waiting for her.”

Speaking about his regrets on the show Jonny, 26, said: “I regret not coming out of my shell earlier on.

“It took me a little while to be myself in there and I do regret letting things get a bit on top of me at the end.”

The business director also said he believes the show’s favourite couple Marcel and Gabby could end up being engaged this time next year.

He said: “Marcel and Gabby – they have had such a seamless time with each other.

“When other couples have dramas, you question whether they are right for each other but if Gabby and Marcel ever argue, there’s not a question on anyone’s mind they will work it out.

“I think they are going to progress more than other couples when they leave.”

Jonny’s time in the villa has definitely been full of drama and viewers recently saw him in a spat with newbie Theo.

Theo entered the villa and immediately took a shine to Tyla leaving Jonny furious.

Pot stirrer Theo well and truly messed with Jonny’s head after choosing Tyla in the recoupling on Friday night.

Tension between Tyla and Jonny has also been building after she told the group that he’s not playful enough, as well as him being a bit too boring for her.

And during last night’s show Theo couldn’t help but get in a sly remark as Jonny was about to leave the villa.

Athlete Theo claimed Tyla would walk as well if she really loved Jonny.

“I think if Tyla really liked him she should go as well really,” he said.

But his fellow islanders weren’t impressed with his blunt comment leaving tensions rising at the end of the show.

Love Island continues tonight at 9pm on ITV2.
