Love Island ‘curse’ continues as another couple splits

These two seemed so loved-up a few days ago...

It doesn’t seem like two minutes ago that Love Island finished, but the couples who found love on the ITV2 show are dropping like flies.

In the past couple of weeks, Laura Anderson and Paul Knops have gone their separate ways – as have Laura Crane and Jack Fowler.

And now it seems that another pair who met during the series, Ellie Brown and Charlie Brake, have decided to split too.

In a social-media post, Ellie, 20, suggested that she’s moved out of the millionaire socialite’s pad just a month after she revealed that she’d moved in.

Ellie shared a picture on Instagram Stories that was taken from the back of a chauffeur-driven car.

It was captioned: “On the way to pick up the keys to my first ever apartment. @gofancy.co.uk thank you for helping me with my 25 boxes of clothes and shoes.”

There was no mention of Charlie joining her, which can surely only mean that he’s staying put!

The shock post comes just days after Ellie and Charlie each posted Instagram pictures of their trip to Gstaad in Switzerland.

With those glorious Swiss mountains in the background, the couple seemed loved-up as they locked lips.

So what happened in that short space of time?

Earlier this week, Laura Anderson told OK! magazine that she and Paul Knops had broken up because they hadn’t been able to find the time to build a relationship.

She also revealed that she’d deleted her former flame from her social media accounts.

Meanwhile, Jack Fowler and Laura Crane told Metro.co.uk that their “busy schedules” had got in the way of their romance.

It’s certainly not all been bad news for the Love Island couples, though.

A couple of days ago, Alex Bowen and Olivia Buckland tied the knot, just a couple of months after meeting on the ITV2 show.

Alex shared the news with a simple tweet that read: “Mr and Mrs Bowen then.” The message was accompanied by a heart emoji.

And Olivia added on her own feed: “My heart is so full.”
