Love Island’s Amber Gill and Greg O’Shea have ‘split up’

Greg dumped her by text

The winners of Love Island winners Amber Gill and Greg O’Shea, have allegedly split up just five weeks after they won the ITV2 competition and came away with their £50,000 prize.

Amber, 22, is reportedly “devastated” after Greg, 24, dumped her via text. It’s said that he decided to end things after realising he didn’t have the time to commit to their romance due to his increasingly busy career.

An insider source revealed to The Sun: “Amber feels used by Greg. He was always aware of the distance and his career in their relationship, and yet he chose to seek out Amber in the villa knowing there would always be the distance.

“Amber is devastated, she thought he was a lovely guy, but he’s made his feelings clear over text, which isn’t very sensitive.

“She had a feeling he was going to make the decision to end things but only because she’d been hearing things – he hadn’t the decency to tell her himself.”

Amber is apparently furious that Greg didn’t break up face to face, but has decided to throw herself into her work rather than wallow in self-pity.

The insider source teased: “Amber has huge deals in place that she’s looking forward to announcing what she’s been busy working on.”

This comes after it was reported that Amber was dumped from Dancing On Ice after the show’s bosses decided to go for fellow Love Islander, Maura Higgins, instead.

The Sun reported that Dancing On Ice’s producers met with many Love Islanders before deciding to go with Maura.

It was suggested that they chose Maura after her impressive stint on This Morning where she impressed viewers with her unique personality during her regular agony aunt segment on the show

Dancing On Ice has a history of recruiting Love Island stars.

Kem Cetinay came fourth in 2018 and Wes Nelson narrowly missed out on winning the show this year, ending up as the show’s runner-up.
