Louise’s Strictly colleague confirms ‘split’ and admits she feels bad

She reveals how being on the dancing show has changed the former singer

It’s the question on everybody’s lips – have Jamie and Louise Redknapp really gone their separate ways?

Although rumours have been rife that the couple’s 19-year marriage is over, neither has officially made any comment.

Back in May, Louise even laughed off reports that she and Jamie were having marital problems.

But now one of her former Strictly mates has put her foot in it and let slip that she and Jamie are indeed – well, apparently – separated.

According to The Sun, Karen Clifton, who is married to Louise’s Strictly dance partner Kevin, has said the former Eternal star, 42, “grew in confidence and spread her wings” during her time on the BBC show late last year.

“It was great because she’s been a stay-at-home mum and sometimes you can forget about yourself.

“Now she’s giving herself a little bit more attention and she’s taking care of herself, which is lovely.

“She’s re-inventing herself.

“She’s a gorgeous woman and he’s a lovely man and I just feel really bad that they’ve separated.”

For the past few weeks, it has been reported that Louise and her Strictly co-star Daisy Lowe have become inseparable.

Just last week, the pair were seen having a ball at the wedding of Aljaz and Janette.

A guest at the wedding reception, held at Bath House in London, told MailOnline: “Darcey, Craig and all the stars from Strictly and their celebrity dance partners were there, but Louise only wanted to be with one person; Daisy.

“The girls didn’t leave each other’s side and stayed together chatting, laughing and dancing all night long. Louise didn’t look as though she had a care in the world!”

They continued: “It’s like Louise is rebelling against all the rules. With Jamie, her life had to revolve around his football schedule and it was always about him.

“Now it’s like she’s thrown away the rule book, she can do what she wants! She loves her new life.”

But while she is seemingly having the time of her life, it has been reported that her in-laws, Harry and Sandra Redknapp are supposedly not very happy with her behaviour.

It’s been suggested they were unhappy with her hanging out with people half her age and leaving the kids with her mum while she hit the town.

Meanwhile, Jamie has been seen hanging out with comedian Jack Whitehall, 29, as well as other pals, as he supposedly comes to terms with the break-up of his marriage.
