Louise Redknapp’s name allegedly dragged into Strictly couple’s “marriage troubles”

It's getting a little bit complicated...

Strictly Come Dancing professional dancer Karen Clifton has reportedly sparked a new row in the divorce between Jamie and Louise Redknapp.

Ex-footballer Jamie is said to have called Karen, after becoming concerned that Louise was getting too close to her Strictly partner – who happened to be Karen’s husband, Kevin.

Karen is reported to have then told Jamie to keep Louise away from Kevin!

It’s alleged that Jamie asked Karen over the phone whether she thought Louise and Kevin were having an affair, which is when Karen made her demand in no uncertain terms.

The Sun quotes a friend, who said: “He asked Karen if he thought their partners were having an affair.

“Karen was very upset at the time and that’s when she asked Jamie to try and keep Louise away from Kevin.

“Emotions were running high because it’s not the type of situation either of them expected to be in.”

And a source close to Louise said: “Louise and Kevin are just good friends through their work on Strictly Come Dancing. She’s also friends with Karen.

“Louise thought it was ridiculous that Jamie had called Karen because it made a situation totally uncomfortable unnecessarily.”

Recently, Karen was pictured with accountant Stuart Wood, 27, with whom it’s rumoured she has struck up a romance.

And Louise and Jamie have decided to put an end to their marriage, and are said to be filing for divorce soon.

Elsewhere in the Strictly universe, reigning Strictly champion and BBC sports presenter Ore Oduba has tweeted a statement hitting out at the “bile and vitriol” he’s seen directed at this year’s contestants.

“I genuinely cannot believe some of the articles, comments and messages I’ve read, targeting certain members of this year’s cast,” Ore wrote.

He continued: “How can a show that is unique in how it spreads joy, brings people together and celebrates a beautiful art produce so much bile and vitriol towards anyone?”

Come on, Strictly! Where is the love?!
