Louise Redknapp is reportedly pushing ahead with plans to divorce husband Jamie Redknapp after nearly 20 years of marriage.
According to reports, the popstar has decided there's no hope of rekindling her romance with the ex-footballer-turned-pundit and is now trying to work with Jamie on agreeing a "timetable" to end their marriage.
A source told The Sunday People: "Louise wants to put steps in place to end her marriage to Jamie by the end of year."
They are no closer to getting back together since when they first split in July
The insider added: "They are no closer to getting back together since when they first split in July.
“Louise now wants to agree a timetable with Jamie to bring the marriage to an end.”
Rumours about the state of Louise, 42, and Jamie's 18-year marriage have been floating around since May, amid claims they were struck by infamous Strictly Come Dancing curse following Louise's time on the show last year.
It was alleged Louise rediscovered her love of performing and a new independence while competing on the show, which put a strain on her marriage.
In July it was claimed they'd officially split but were keeping silent on the rumours for the sake of their young children Charley, 12, and eight-year-old Beau.
It was also suggested the couple were hoping they could rekindle the romance and make their marriage work.
A magazine even claimed in August that the pair hadn't mentioned the 'divorce' word and Jamie, 44, was hopeful Louise would return home to him once she'd enjoyed a taste of independence.
"The word divorce hasn’t even been uttered between Jamie and Louise," claimed a source.
"Jamie is adamant he’ll be there when Louise realises the grass isn’t greener. He’s telling friends: 'I’ll wait for my wife to come home – Louise needs this time'."
Neither Louise nor Jamie has ever commented on the speculation and both have been seen in recent days wearing their wedding rings.
Of course, as the pair haven't said anything themselves, it's all a bit unclear as to what is really going on behind closed doors.
The closest to an 'official' confirmation of a split came when Strictly pro dancer Joanne Clifton made reference to Louise "re-inventing" herself after Strictly and saying how sorry she was about the separation.
"It was great because she’s been a stay-at-home mum and sometimes you can forget about yourself," she told The Sun.
"Now she’s giving herself a little bit more attention and she’s taking care of herself, which is lovely.
"She’s re-inventing herself. She’s a gorgeous woman and he’s a lovely man and I just feel really bad that they’ve separated."
Of course, Joanne could have just read it in the papers like everyone else, rather than heard directly from Louise...
Until Louise and Jamie actually confirm what's happening, it's hard to know the truth.
In the meantime, Louise has plenty to keep her occupied as she's reportedly working on a new album and plotting her pop comeback.
Whatever happens, good luck to both of them.
