Louise Redknapp has revealed the true meaning of her new tattoo.

The former Eternal singer, 44, says that the inked message ‘I love you’ gives her confidence and empowerment.

The mum-of-two posted an image of the new tatt on Instagram.

The ink says simply, ‘I love you’, with the caption: “Let’s learn to love ourselves” followed by a red heart emoji.

Many of her 638,000 followers responded with messages of approval.

“Love yourself first …… everything else will fall into line x” one wrote.

Louise, who is appearing in the West End musical 9-To-5 before heading off on a solo tour around the UK –  revealed the true meaning of the ink.

Speaking to The Sun, she said: “I only got it two weeks ago and I love it. It helps me with stage fright and to feel empowered.

“I look down at my wrist every time I get nervous on stage and remember, ‘I’ve got this’.”

She added: “It’s given me so much strength already, and didn’t even hurt that much.”

Last month, fans urged Lou to get back with ex-husband, Jamie. after she shared some lyrics from a new song.

The lyrics were from a track on her new album, Heavy Love.

They read: “We used to be in love, we used to be inseparable, now it’s a little awkward… it’s like we’ve never met before.

“It’s almost like we’re strangers.

“Remember when we had it all, we used to dream big, but now it’s just… small talk.”
