Louise Redknapp ‘faces £1k fine after running a red light in her Range Rover’

She was originally charged last year

It seems Louise Redknapp has got herself into a spot of bother with the law.

The former Strictly Come Dancing star – who is currently appearing in the West End production of 9 To 5: The Musical – has reportedly admitted running a red light in her £31,000 Range Rover.

Louise was originally charged last year after going through the red light on Wandsworth Bridge, London, and failing to give details of the driver.

It’s been said she is due back in court for sentencing on August 7 and has requested a personal hearing in open court before she is sentenced so that she can explain the “circumstances of the offence”.

Louise drove through the red light at 9.34am on November 2 last year, with Willesden Magistrates’ Court hearing that the car was “driven against the indication given by the red signal after 1.4 seconds”.

An official added that the mother of two is then alleged to have committed a further traffic offence. They said: “She is also said to have failed to give information relating to the identification of the driver of a Land Rover.”

Drivers can usually expect three points on their licence and a £100 fine if they run a red light. Failure to respond or provide details of the driver can result in prosecution and a maximum of six points and a £1,000 fine.

It’s said Louise issued a written guilty plea to Willesden magistrates’ court last week.

Ent Daily has contacted reps for Louise for comment.

Louise’s brush with the law came as she opened her heart in a poignant Instagram post.

Revealing that she had “read something that meant a lot”, she shared a heartbreaking post with her followers.

It read: “I need you to know that beautiful things are vanishing each day, and I am proud of you for fighting to ensure that your soul is not one of them.”

It continued: “I need you to know that you will find the places that leave every tender part of you feeling calm and at peace with who you are.”

Louise split from her husband of 18 years, former footballer Jamie Redknapp, in 2017. They are parents to Charley, 14, and Beau, ten.

As Ent Daily reported, fans recently speculated that the singer is missing her ex-husband when she shared lyrics from one of her new solo songs.
