Simon Cowell’s son Eric joins X Factor live show judging

The girls reveal to Andy West that there’s a new boss in town!

Oi Louis, don’t get too comfy in your seat, Simon might already be lining up a replacement judge to take your place.

According to The X Factor hopefuls Emily Middlemiss, Samantha Lavery and Gifty Louise Agyeman, Simon has called upon a fresh pair of ears to help him judge the live shows – his son Eric.

The girls the two-year old have said that the wee fella has been hanging out in rehearsals and is helping his dad decide if what was coming out of their gobs was tuneful enough.

“He had these big earphones on in rehearsals, he was so cute,” Samantha told ED’s Andy West. “When I started singing, Simon was looking at him as if he was saying to Eric ‘do you like it?’

“It’s like we’ve already got to impress Simon, now we’ve got impress a mini-Simon as well.

“No pressure! Gifty had him dancing, Emily had him with is hands in the air. He was lovin’ it!’

But while the very canny Eric may well end up becoming an X Factor judge of the future, it would seem his presence has had a good effect on his dad – and turned him into a pussycat!

“When they walked in together, Eric just sat on the judges chair and Simon was patting him and saying ‘are you okay?’ It was just so cute.” Gifty Louise confided.

As a result, it appears that this softer side of reality TV’s meanest judge has suddenly made him a lot more attractive to younger women.

“Simon is like a teddy bear,” Gifty gushed. “He just makes you feel really comfortable.

“He’s rich but he doesn’t flaunt it.”

True, as expensive as those black T-shirts, white T-shirts and jeans most probably are – they still look like something you’d quite easily pick up in Primark for under £20!

The X Factor live finals kick-off on ITV at 8pm.
