Becky Vardy proposed to footballer husband Jamie LIVE on Thursday’s episode of Loose Women!
Yes, we know they’re already married, but there was a valid reason behind it! Kind of…
Becky was a guest panellist on the programme where they spoke about rumours Ed Sheeran has secretly married his girlfriend Cherry Seaborn.
Actually, he’s just been wearing an engagement ring – which sparked a whole debate about whether men should wear engagement rings or not.

But, anyway, the proposal from Becky came as she discussed two things. One, Jamie’s “hilarious” proposal to her in Belgium and two, a new bizarre trend that sees people propose by putting the ring inside an avocado. Yes, really. Apparently this is a thing.
She said: “My engagement proposal was quite hilarious, actually.
“Jamie drunkenly… we were out in Belgium and he had been drinking and obviously thought it was the perfect time to drop down on one knee and ask me to marry him, never mind there was broken glass on the floor!
“Jamie is quite spontaneous like that and I honestly didn’t believe him. I thought he’d wake up in the morning and say, ‘What have I done?’
“He didn’t have a ring but the next morning he said, ‘Do you remember what I said?’
“Of course I did, I was pregnant and not drinking. He said, ‘You can go and pick the ring.’ I said, ‘I’m not picking my own engagement ring!'”
The panel then discussed this new trend of putting rings in avocados – which is where Becky’s proposal came in!
She looked a bit sheepish as Andrea McLean encouraged her: “You have a little something you’d like to do, don’t you? We have a very special moment.”
Becky then whipped out an avocado and engagement ring and sent a message to Jamie.

“Seeing as your proposal was so naff, I thought I’d give you one out of an avocado as it’s so much better,” she said.
“I love you. Will you marry me? I think the ring will look absolutely perfect on you!”
Random, but funny!
And, of course, Becky and Jamie have been happily married since 2016.
