X Factor winner Leona Lewis has swapped singing for acting as she lands her first starring role in US TV series The Oath.
The 33-year-old Londoner, who bagged her first acting role in 2014 film Walking On Sunshine admitted she was anxious ahead of her TV debut in the second series of the show.
She wrote: "My heart is racing!!! So excited to be part of this show."
Leona plays Amber a doctor who is trying to do her best for her struggling community while moving on from her own violent upbringing.

Amber finds herself in the middle of a group of gangs who are sworn to protect each other and shine a light on corrupt and secret societies.
The show, which is produced by rapper 50 Cent also stars True Blood’s Ryan Kwanten and fellow singer Christina Milan.

The Bleeding Love singer also announced at the end of 2018 that she was engaged to long-term boyfriend Dennis Jauch.
Leona, who has been dating the dancer and choreographer since 2010, took to Instagram to show off her enormous engagement ring last August.
Confirming the news just before Christmas she wrote: "My heart is singing the happiest song it’s ever sung. I’m bursting with joy and overcome with emotion that I get to embark on this new adventure with my best friend, my partner in crime, my ride or die.
"@dennisjaunch I can’t wait to be your wife. Eeek wife! What?! Argh! Hahaha I still can’t believe it. I dreamed you up and you came true.
"The most caring kindhearted and inspiring person I’ve ever had the privilege to know. Now let’s go and have a big ol’ partyyyyy."
