Len Goodman reveals he’s “coming back” to Strictly

He's only been gone five minutes!

Len Goodman announced earlier this year that this would be his last series with Strictly Come Dancing.

There has also been a huge fuss over who will replace him as head judge.

But is he actually leaving?

At the after party, everyone begged Len to stay and even joked they had a contract ready for him.

Contestant Laura Whitmore posted a clip to Snapchat which sees Len saying: “I’m coming back, don’t worry.”

You haven’t even retired yet Len!

Laura captioned the clip: “Please don’t go Len.”

Len, 72, has been part of the show since it began in 2004 and people couldn’t help but get emotional as they paid tribute to him.

The entire room gave him a standing ovation and he confessed how much he would miss being part of the show.

He gushed: “I’m going to miss it all.

“I will just miss turning up. I will miss what I consider the three best judges on television.

“Being close to the fans and listening to the singers. I’ll miss the whole thing.”

This comes as a fellow Strictly judge revealed he thinks the much-loved legend will be back before we know it.

Craig Revel Horwood believes that Len will be “burning with desire” to return to the show once someone is sitting in his seat.

He said: “He won’t be able to stand seeing someone else in his seat. I wouldn’t be surprised if, after next year, he wants to come back.

“He’ll say, ‘No, no, no. I want to play golf. I don’t want to do that.’ Then he says, ‘Oh, OK, I’ll do one weekend.’ Then that turns into the whole run.”

Craig also revealed that despite his Strictly marriage with Len turning into a “divorce” he still got “emotional” about his departure.

He added: “I could feel myself getting emotional. It suddenly hit me how long we’ve been together.”

Will a new Strictly marriage develop between Darcey Bussell – who is hotly tipped to take Len’s place – and Craig?
