To celebrate the lead up to her 50th birthday on Monday 28th May, Kylie Minogue is posting a series of throwback snaps – starting with a sweet picture of her as a child.
Seen looking into the camera at her home in Melbourne, Australia, Kylie is almost unrecognisable, save from her mega-watt smile and blonde waves.

The pop star wrote alongside the image, “Hey #lovers. As my birthday is coming up, I thought it would be a good time to look back through the decades. So first up, tiny Kylie!
“This photo was taken at home in Melbourne, Australia, in the front room, by my uncle Noel. I didn’t know I would end up spending so much time in front of the camera!”
She added, “So stay tuned as we lead up to May 28th”, with the hashtag ‘Kylie Golden Years’.
Fans complimented Kylie as being ‘a cutie pie’ and ‘a beautiful little angel’.
Others said it was clear that the pop princess had star quality even then.
One added, “A star is born” and another called little Kylie “a future princess”.
Kylie has also shared an adorable snap of herself and her mum for Mother’s Day, showing off her famous blonde curls and what was clearly a very happy childhood.

As her milestone approaches, Kylie is treating it with the same happy-go-lucky attitude, and despite admitting she’s usually shy, the hit maker has decided to go big for the big 5 0!

Telling Sydney Morning Herald that she’ll be having ‘a bit of an extravaganza’, Kylie added, “It’s really unlike me. I usually shy away from that kind of thing, aside from if it’s for work.
“I usually try and wiggle out of those type of things and usually just have a few friends around, but yes, we’re going to have a party.”
In the lead up to her birthday, Kylie has also been reflecting on certain aspects of her life – particularly becoming single again after her split from Joshua Sasse.
Kylie recently described how she experienced a ‘slow, steady breakdown’ after her split from Joshua, 30, in February last year, and jetted to Thailand for six days, where she chose not to talk to anybody.
On the subject of children, she also revealed she had contemplated parenthood alone, but had decided against it.
“I did pursue that, that obviously wasn’t the path for me either. But I think now, I love being an auntie,” she said in Vogue Australia magazine this month.

“And I mean, if I was to meet anyone – that sounds really gloomy – but if there’s one person on the planet earth who might like me and I might like them, the chances are pretty high that person would have children anyway.”
However, the singer is still hopeful she’ll be lucky in love, saying earlier this year, “Will it work? Probably won’t work. Might work. I’ll give it a try.”
