Kimberley Walsh has revealed that she and friend Cheryl share the burden of motherhood together, turning their houses into a creche.

The Girls Aloud singer was open about how the support of her friends – including new mum, Cheryl – helps her cope with the difficulties of being a mother of two young boys.

The two bessies regularly bring their children together on playdates. “It’s just like carnage,” Kimberly says. “It’s like a creche basically.”

She spoke about the importance of her friendships with other mums, during a chat on this morning’s Lorraine.

“It’s so much easier as a mum when you can share those things I think and if you’re worried about something you can share it,” admitted the

“My sister has three boys so we’ve got five between us,” Kimberley continued, “so there’s a lot of babes around and we’re all in it together, which makes it easier when you’ve got friends doing the same thing.”

When asked about Cheryl becoming a mum, she responded: “It’s lovely, all my best, closest friends have all got babies so I’m like it’s fine we’re all in the same boat.”

Cheryl welcomed her first child with singer Liam Payne in March of this year.

Kimberley stressed that motherhood for her is much like motherhood for other women, commenting that she usually has to wipe her children’s mess off herself on the way out the door to events.

Kimberley was on the show to encourage people to donate a bag of clothes in support of TK Maxx’s Give Up Clothes For Good campaign to help raise money for Cancer Research UK Kids & Teens, and help beat children’s cancers sooner.

Kimberley also dropped hints at a Girls Aloud reunion, revealing that her older son, Bobby, would be keen to see it.

“Bobby is only just starting to take an interest,” she said.

“The odd little things come on TV or YouTube randomly and he’s a bit like, ‘What are you doing?’.”

Whether they reunite on stage or not, Kimberley and Cheryl have plenty of mutual childcare carnage ahead.
