Take a peek into the incredible life of the billionaire businessman
Come on in...
Donald Trump is easily one of the richest men in the world. He is an American businessman, politician, television personality, author, and most surprisingly is now the presumptive nominee of the Republican Party for President of the United States in the 2016 election.
The coverage of his candidacy for presents have sparked quite the uproar. He has become known for his opposition to illegal immigration, and is proposing to temporarily ban foreign Muslims from entering the United States. It seems like his net worth of $4.5 billion has gone to his head. Money definitely cannot buy sense!
Donald spends most of his time at Trump Towers living with his third wife Melania and son Barron. He married his first wife, Ivana Zelníčková, a Czech model in 1977 and they had three children together: son Donald, Jr., daughter Ivanka, and son Eric. All three are now the executives vice presidents of The Trump Organization, one of Donald's many empires.
During this marriage, Trump has an affair with actress Marla Maples and after divorcing Ivana in 1991, had a daughter called Tiffany Marples. They married in 1993 and then divorced in 1999. Got all that? He later Slovenia-born fashion model, Melania Knauss in 1998 and the pair have been together ever since. Their Trump Towers penthouse is one of the most opulent homes you'll ever see.
Trump Towers is a 58-story mixed-use skyscraper that is located at 725 Fifth Avenue in Midtown Manhattan. FYI, it was where NBC show The Apprentice was filmed. It was designed by Der Scutt of Swanke Hayden Connell and developed by Trump himself.
When it was built in 1980, he used air rights from the Tiffany's flagship store next door, including the atrium, which was designed as a "public space" under the city codes at the time, just so he was able to build a taller tower. The atrium has a 60-foot waterfall, shops, cafes, and a pedestrian bridge that crosses the waterfall's pool! Forbes Magazine valued the tower at $318 million in 2013.
Fun fact: Cristiano Ronaldo has an $18.5 million Trump Tower pad decked in veined marble and wood paneling. Before Ronaldo moved in it belonged to Italian real estate mogul Alessandro Proto.
